Today a new song happened upon me. (I say “happened” because like I’ve said before, I can’t intentionally write new music—nothing happens when I sit down and try, instead music pops randomly into my head)
Anyway, this song actually made me cry while I sang it for the first time. It’s a song for transgender youth, specifically those who are homeless. Many of my songs have been (somewhat cryptically) about LGBT issues, but this one came out specifically for the transgender community.
I would like to send it to Cyndi Lauper one day and have her use it for her True Colors Fund. Someday. I have to focus on polishing things right now!
I will post a demo of it in the next few days. My voice is pretty rough right now, so I need some rest before I can record.
