It breaks my heart too. :( I want to make a safe place for all the animals to get together and play and eat cake.
Also, “rehoming” is okay. Selling animals is forbidden. So you can rehome a parrot and charge for the cage, or rehome a dog and ask for an adoption fee. CL does say to ask “reasonable” fees and that is usually ignored, especially with companion birds.
